Crispy cheese balls

These are bite-size and perfect with ketchup or a spicy dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Steps

  1. Mix potatoes, cheese, cornflour, spices, and salt. Shape into balls.
  2. Roll in flour, dip in water, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry at 350F until golden.

Notes

  • Chill the shaped balls for 15 minutes for firmer frying.
  • Add chopped herbs for extra flavor.
