These bars are crisp on the edges and tender in the center. Keep the dough cool for clean slices.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 2 tbsp rainbow sprinkles
Steps
- Heat oven to 350F. Line an 8-inch pan with parchment.
- Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add vanilla.
- Mix in flour and salt. Fold in sprinkles.
- Press dough evenly into the pan and score into 16 bars.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool completely, then cut along the score lines.
Notes
- Chill the pan 10 minutes before baking if the dough is soft.
- Use jimmies sprinkles so the color does not bleed.
