Dough
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Glaze
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add milk and butter, then knead 5 minutes.
- Rest 45 minutes until puffy.
- Roll to 1/2-inch thick and cut donuts. Rest 20 minutes.
- Fry at 350F until golden, about 1 minute per side.
- Whisk glaze and dip warm donuts.
Notes
- Keep the oil steady at 350F for even color.
- Add cocoa to half the glaze for a two-tone batch.
