Soft roti wrapped around spicy paneer, onions, and a creamy sauce.

Paneer kathi roll

This is my quick lunch wrap: paneer cubes, a tangy sauce, and crunchy onions.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 200 g paneer, cubed
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste

Sauce and wrap

  • 4 rotis or tortillas
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Toss paneer with spices and salt. Saute in oil until golden.
  2. Stir yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, pepper, and salt for the sauce.
  3. Warm rotis, spread sauce, add cabbage, onion, and paneer.
  4. Roll tightly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add a little butter to the rotis before rolling for extra softness.
  • Swap cabbage for lettuce if preferred.
